6. Decommission of the Library's Add Value Machines and Payflex Devices

To correspond with the University's new development in the Smart University ID Card and the availability of the Online Add Value System for CU Link card holders to recharge their print account, the Library's Add Value Machines will be decommissioned effective June 30, 2012.  In addition, the Library's existing smart card will be replaced by a contactless smart card and the existing Payflex devices for charging copying/printing will be decommissioned effective June 30, 2013.

In this connection, the existing Copying/Printing card, Department Copy/Printing Card and the contact-only Library Card will be phased out.  Users are advised to use the remaining values in their card before the Payflex devices are decommissioned.  For existing Department Copy/Printing Cards, the Library will inform the departments the replacement procedure in summer.

Further details of the new development to the library smart card system will be announced in due course.
