1. Hong Kong Literature Collection Exhibition

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a decade of successful development of the Hong Kong Literature Collection in the library, the University Library System is mounting a joint exhibition "Hong Kong Literature Collection" with the Hong Kong Literature Research Centre. The exhibition will display valuable publications, manuscripts, letters and other materials related to local literary works that the library has collected over the past ten years. We hope that this exhibition will generate further interest from the CUHK community and public in the promotion of the knowledge, development and the preservation of local literature.

6. Library Workshops: Sep – Nov 2013

After attending five courses on information research skills (at least 1 course from Program 3), you will be granted a Library Information Literacy Certificate by the Library.  Students, in groups of ten or more, can request library courses to suit their information needs and schedules.

7. Setting Up Library Password

A Library password is needed for using the Library services and facilities, such as logon to Library PCs, view "My Library Record", online renewal, online request, and add/update e-mail address.  For eligible users, Library passwords will also be needed for interlibrary loan request, room booking, and remote access to e-resources.

8. Chung Chi College Library – New Open Reserve

The new Open Reserve area on the ground floor of the Chung Chi College Library will be ready for use at the start of September.  All the reserve items in the new CCL Open Reserve will be RFID enabled to make it easy for library users to check out the items themselves.

9. What is the Next Book to Read?

Meet your next favorite book in Good Reads Corner at the University Library!  Books for display include both fiction and non-fiction titles, new releases and old favourites, and those in receipt of major awards or prizes.  The books are at various intellectual levels and are not confined to any one genre.  We hope that you will enjoy many of them and that they will lead you down many more paths of exploration in reading.

10. Enhancement of Wi-Fi Printing Service

To enhance the current Wi-Fi printing service, a total of 34 Multi-Function Photocopiers (MFPs) in University Library and all branches of the ULS are now equipped with the Wi-Fi Printing capability.  Moreover, the service is extended to more Wi-Fi networks and MacOS devices.
