1. Law Library Re-opens on September 1, 2006

The Law Library re-opened on September 1, 2006 to service the information needs of the new School of Law and its students as well as existing staff and students of the University.

2. Library Orientation 2006

Library Orientation Sessions for new students will be held on September 4 to 12, 2006 at the University Library.  Five sessions will be held on every weekday:

9:25 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
11:25 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
2:25 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
3:25 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
5:25 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

3. Library Information Literacy Certificate Course : September - November 2006

After attending any five courses on information literacy skills, participants will be granted a certificate by the Library.  Students, in groups of ten or more, can request library courses to suit their information needs and schedules.  For detailed information, please contact the staff at the Reference Counter.

4. Inter-shelving of the Circulating Books in the University Library

The International Seminar on Bibliographic Services, organized by the JULAC Bibliographic Services Committee and hosted by the University Library System, was held at the Cho Yiu Conference Hall, The Chinese University of Hong Kong on August 28, 2006.

7. Poetry Reading by Bei Dao and Tolo Poet Association

The Poetry Reading by Bei Dao and the Tolo Poet Association was held on July 25, 2006 (Tuesday) with 30 attendees participating in the event.  Besides reciting poems, Bei Dao and members of the Tolo Poet Association also shared their experience in writing poems and exchanged views on literature.
