The revised Homepage aims to better serve the information needs of the University community with a fresh new look and feel.  It presents the full range of Library services in a user-oriented and easy-to-navigate interface, with quick access to electronic resources.

2. Information Literacy Courses for CUHK Students: September - November 2009

The University Library will offer intensive courses from September to November 2009 to assist students in preparing for the Information Literacy Section of the Student IT Proficiency Test.

3. Library Workshops for September - November 2009

After attending any five courses on information search skills, participants will be granted a Library Information Literacy Certificate by the Library.  Students, in groups of ten or more, can request library courses to suit their information needs and schedules.

4. SAVE THE PLANET - Add/Update your E-mail Address to receive Library Notices

The Library is pleased to announce the online registration/update of email address service effective August 3, 2009.  Simply logon to your "My Library Record", click Add/Update your E-mail Address and enter or update your email address.

5. Increase of Loan Quota / Loan Period / maximum number of renewals

To meet the demand for access to resources, the Library is pleased to increase the loan quota, loan period and maximum number of renewals for library materials, effective August 1, 2009.

6. Coming Due Alert will be sent via email 3 days before the book is due

In order for users to have sufficient time to return regular loan (14 days or more) that is due on a Saturday or Sunday, the Coming Due Alert notice will be sent via email to users 3 days before the book is due instead of 2 days, effective August 1, 2009.

7. Interlibrary Loan Service For CUHK Final Year Undergraduate Students

Starting from August 3, 2009, CUHK's final year undergraduate students are eligible for interlibrary loan service without the need to obtain their supervisor's endorsement.

8. Change of Opening Hours of Architecture Library when the University is in session

Effective from August 24, 2009, the opening hours of the Architecture Library when the University is in session are:

Monday – Friday 10:30am - 9:00pm
Saturday  CLOSED
Sunday  CLOSED

11. Guardian of the Spiritual Value of Chinese Culture: Tang Chun-I Centenary Exhibition

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Department of Philosophy and the centenary of Mr. Tang Chun-I, the Department of Philosophy and the Philosophy Alumni Association organized a series of activities.  Among which was an exhibition entitled 'Guardian of the Spiritual Value of Chinese Culture: Tang Chun-I Centenary Exhibition'.
