2. Remembering the Breeze: Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s from the Ng Ho Collection

To pay our tribute to the late Mr. Ng Ho who made significant contributions to the development of and research on Hong Kong culture, and with his wife's, Mrs. Ng Wong Kar Wai, full support, an exhibition of "Remembering the Breeze: Hong Kong in the 50s and 60s from the Ng Ho Collection" will be held from 27 March to 30 September this year.

Items on display include valuable materials collected by Mr. Ng in the past decades, such as popular readings and materials from daily life.  The exhibition presents Hong Kong ordinary people's life in the 50s and 60s.  We hope that through this exhibition, the CUHK community and the public's interest in and promotion of the knowledge, development and preservation of local culture will be further aroused.

The opening ceremony will be held on 27 March 2015 at 4:30 p.m. at the University Library Exhibition Area.  Mrs. Ng Wong Kar Wai, Prof. Huang Yu (Dean of the School of Communications, Hong Kong Baptist University), Prof. Joseph Sung (Vice-Chancellor and President, CUHK), Prof. Leung Yuen Sang (Dean of Arts, CUHK), and Ms. Louise Jones (University Librarian, CUHK) will officiate at the ceremony.
