After attending any five courses on information literacy skills, participants will be granted a certificate by the Library. Demonstrates the advanced techniques to search the CUHK Library Catalogue. Topics covered include the use of operators, field-specific searches and types of materials, etc.
Programme 3: Library Research Skills
Illustrates the process of conducting library research and how to make effective use of libraries and its resources during the research.
Programme 4: Electronic Resources on Specific Subjects
Programme 5: Free Information on the Web
Demonstrates the use of search engines to locate free information on the Web.
Programme 6: Information about Hong Kong
Introduces the searching of different types of Hong Kong materials on various subjects in the Libraries.
Programme 7: How to Find Economics and Social Data
Introduces databases on economic and social data such as International Financial Statistics, World Development Indicators, Monthly Bulletin of Statistics Online and INFOBANK.
