1. A Gentle Reminder - Returning Books and Paying Fines

Graduating students and leaving staff: Please be reminded to return all your borrowed library items and clear all outstanding fines, if any, before you leave the University.  Your record may be sent to the University authorities if there is any unreturned library item and/or outstanding fines.  Degree Certificates of graduates with outstanding debts to the University will be withheld until the accounts are settled.

3. Pilot Test of Microsoft Windows 7 at HK Studies, 1/F University Library

4. Western Languages and Literature, and the Linguistics Collections

The Western Languages and Literature, and the Linguistics collections will be moved from the Chung Chi College Library to the University Library during the summer break.

5. Wi-Fi Printing Service Coming Soon

Wi-Fi Printing service will be available soon for all CUHK students and staff in the Library.  You may bring your own computer and send the print jobs to dedicated multi-function photocopiers in the Library via wireless network.

6. Decommission of the Library's Add Value Machines on June 30, 2012

To correspond with the University's new development in the Smart University ID Card and the availability of the Online Add Value System for CU Link card holders to recharge their print account, the Library's Add Value Machines will be decommissioned effective June 30, 2012.  In addition, the Library's existing smart card will be replaced by a contactless smart card and the existing Payflex devices for charging copying/printing will be decommissioned effective June 30, 2013.
