1. Library Workshops for January - March 2006

The University Library is pleased to offer a number of workshops designed to introduce users to specific Library resources on different subjects.  All are welcome to attend.

2. Digital Asset Management Seminar Held Successfully

The 21st Century Digital Asset Management Seminar was held from January 6-7, 2006.  More than 150 participants from over eight cities and countries joined the event.  Librarians and information specialists gathered together exchanging ideas and sharing their views on the development of digital asset management.

3. Renovation of Chung Chi College Library

Financed by UGC AA+I funding, Chung Chi College Library underwent a major renovation in the summer of 2005.  The whole library is fully refurbished to provide an interactive and independent study environment.  There are informal sitting areas with comfortable chairs for study and leisure reading.  Group study rooms are provided for students to work together.  Study carrels, arranged along the windows, are specially designed for those who desire a quiet environment for their study.

4. Borrowing Circulating Books from UGC Libraries Easily and Conveniently

Our staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students may now request circulating books from the other seven UGC libraries, and have them delivered to the University Library for checking out easily and conveniently through the HKALL service.
