The University Library will offer intensive courses from March to June 2011 to assist students in preparing for the Information Literacy Section of the Student IT Proficiency Test. The course provides not only an overview of the Web-based Information Literacy Tutorial, but also includes exercises and practice tests in:
- Formulating search strategies;
- Finding information using the Library Catalogue, research databases and the Internet; and
- Evaluating information sources.
Six three-hour identical sessions are scheduled as follows: March 5, 2011 (Saturday) 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
March 10, 2011 (Thursday) 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
April 9, 2011 (Saturday) 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
May 14, 2011 (Saturday) 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
May 21, 2011 (Saturday) 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Medium of Instruction: Cantonese, but will change to English when there is any student who does not know Cantonese.
