10. New Asia College Transferred a Donation of Ms. Nancy Kuo (an Alumna) to CUHK Library

New Asia College transferred a donation of Ms. Nancy Kuo (an Alumna) to CUHK Library.  The donation is in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Alma Mater.  To express our deepest gratitude to Ms. Kuo for her generous and valuable donation, Acting University Librarian, Mrs. Rita Wong, presented a Certificate of Appreciation and souvenir to her on November 27, 2009.

Ms. Kuo graduated from New Asia College in 1958 and now resides in United States.  Her donation includes 1,091 multimedia musical materials and 1,327 books and journals.  The materials are on Chinese operas, such as Jing ju and Kun ju, and other Chinese performing arts.  A lot of items were produced or published during the periods of Chinese Cultural Revolution and Economic Reform (early 1980s).  These materials are an important addition to the Library's collections.
