Information Literacy Courses for CUHK Students |

The University Library will offer intensive courses in November 2008 to assist students in preparing for the Information Literacy Section of the Student IT Proficiency Test. The course provides not only an overview of the Web-based Information Literacy Tutorial, but also includes exercises and practice in
- Formulating search strategies,
- Finding information using the Library Catalogue, research databases and the Internet, and
- Evaluating information sources.

Library Catalogue 2.0 Beta - The Next Generation Library Catalogue |

Starting from November 3, 2008, the University Library System will provide a Library Catalogue 2.0 Beta version for users. It is a brand new platform for searching all types of library resources using the latest web design techniques. It offers features including:
- A single search box
- Spell checker
- Faceted navigation to refine your search
- Advance result ranking to bring you the most relevant results up-front
- Tag clouds to discover related items
- Links to recently added books on your topic
