The Library is pleased to introduce a new electronic database, Libray PressDisplay. This online resource provides full-colour, full-page-image of over 1,700 newspapers published around the world. Users may find the most recent 2 months of news articles, commercials, and pictures published from the South China Morning Post to the Wall Street Journal.

The Library is pleased to announce the launching of the Mobile Catalogue for the web-enabled phone users. These phone users can now have instant access to the Mobile Catalogue to:
- Renew checkout items;
- Search for library books and e-resources;
- Place request on library materials;
- Obtain library information such as library addresses, phone numbers, floor plans and locate our libraries via Google Map.

The first of the "Values Under Debate" lunchtime seminar series, hosted by the Research Centre for Human Values and the University Library System, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, was held on November 18, 2010. The speaker was the Hon. Audrey Eu, SC, JP, and her topic was "The Debate about Democracy in Hong Kong: the Values at Stake".
