Book Exhibition on Mo Yan |

A book exhibition on Mo Yan, Nobel Laureate in Literature in 2012, is being held at the New Asia College Ch'ien Mu Library of The Chinese University of Hong Kong from November 19, 2012 to January 31, 2013. Highlights of the exhibits include autographed copies and critical editions of his major works. Special issues of literary journals and newspaper supplements on Mo Yan are displayed. The Nobel Prize in Literature for 2012 was awarded to the Chinese writer Mo Yan "who with hallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary". The major works of Mo Yan include Red Sorghum (1987) , The Garlic Ballads (1988) , The Republic of Wine (1992), Big Breasts and Wide Hips (1995), The Sandalwood Torture (2001) , Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out (2005), Frog (2005), etc.
