To celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a decade of successful development of the Hong Kong Literature Collection in the library, the University Library System is mounting a joint exhibition "Hong Kong Literature Collection" with the Hong Kong Literature Research Centre. The exhibition will display valuable publications, manuscripts, letters and other materials related to local literary works that the library has collected over the past ten years. We hope that this exhibition will generate further interest from the CUHK community and public in the promotion of the knowledge, development and the preservation of local literature.
The opening ceremony will be held on 11 October, 2013 at 3:30 pm at the University Library Exhibition Area. Mr. Liu Yichang (prominent Hong Kong author), Prof. Joseph Sung (CUHK Vice-Chancellor), Prof. Leung Yuen Sang (Dean of Arts), Prof. Ho Che Wah (Chairman, Chinese Language and Literature Dept.) and Ms. Louise Jones (University Librarian) will officiate at the ceremony.
Items on display include valuable HK literature books, journals, newspapers, manuscripts, letters, etc. All are welcome to visit the exhibition.
