Officiating at the opening ceremony were Professor Michael King-man Hui, the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Prof. Paul Kwan-sing Lam, Acting Vice-President (Undergraduate Education) of CityU.  Mr. Michael Stone, Secretary-General of the University Grants Committee (UGC) gave opening remarks.  Mr. Tom Sanville, Executive Director of Ohiolink and Mr. Andrew Wells, University Librarian of the University of New South Wales delivered keynote speeches.
