2. The 5th International m-libraries Conference (May 27-30, 2014)

Hosted by The Open University (UK) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the 5th International m-libraries Conference, entitled "m-libraries: From devices to people", will be held at the Chinese University of Hong Kong from May 27-30, 2014.  More than 200 researchers, educators, technical developers, managers and library professionals from 27 countries / regions will gather to exchange their experience and generate ideas for future developments in mobile technology.

Moreover, the University Library System and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of CUHK have jointly organized the Library Mobile Apps Challenge, an idea generation/app development contest, as one of the events for this Conference.  A total of 26 teams have registered.  A group of adjudicators consisting of representatives from Departments, the University Management and student unions will select the two most innovative mobile apps.  The Champion and the Runner-Up teams will receive their awards at the Conference and prepare a poster to present their ideas.  More details of this exciting and engaging conference are available at the website http://m-lib5.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/.
