9. Research Seminars on OvidSP Databases and WiseNews

The University Library System will offer training sessions for students and staff on the following databases in January:

OvidSP Databases

OvidSP is the new online platform replacing Ovid Web Gateway to use major science and medical databases such as BIOSIS Previews, CINAHL, Medline, EMB Reviews, and PsycINFO.  This seminar will introduce the layout and new functions available in the new platform using examples.

WiseNews

Wisenews covers major Chinese newspapers in the Greater China Area including all 18 Chinese and English newspapers of Hong Kong and other top tier newspapers, magazines, newswires, TVs and radios of Greater China.  The seminar will provide updated content of the database and demonstrate the operation of WiseSearch.  Two identical sessions will be held on the following dates:

Session 1:January 23, 2008 (Wednesday) 2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Session 2:January 23, 2008 (Wednesday) 3:30 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
