The University Library is pleased to announce a new publication "The Brushmarks of Friendship: Poetry and Calligraphy Treasures in Tribute to Pun Sun-on" edited by Ms. Y.W. Chau.  The book, released in July 2012 by Chinese University Press, is published as the University Library Bibliographical Series No.6.

Following is a brief introduction:

Pun Sun-on, a Confucius businessman, was born in Hong Kong in 1923.  He used to host regular meetings with poets and artists in his residence for literary exchanges since 1950s.  From 1960s onwards, he took leadership of various poetry societies in Hong Kong, activities of which had been recorded in details in his earlier publication Poetry Exchanges in the Cottage of Little Mountain.  This book, The Brushmarks of Friendship: Poetry and Calligraphy Treasures in Tribute to Pun Sun-on, compiles, transcribes and annotates the poetries and calligraphies which Pun and his friends exchanged and the literary works collected offer glimpses of the cultural and literary scenes in Hong Kong from the 1950s to 1970s.
