Many of our library users, including all CUHK students, are already enjoying the benefits of receiving Library's notices by email – they are reminded by emails when they have items coming due, their borrowed items are being recalled, items are ready for them to pick up on the hold shelf, and when they have unpaid fines, etc.
To make it easier for those who are yet to enjoy such service, starting from 5 January 2015, the Library will use the email address assigned by the CUHK Information Technology Services Centre (i.e. computing_id@mailserv.cuhk.edu.hk) as the default email address for all new staff or staff that do not already have an email address in their personal library account.

You can of course change this default email address to an email address of your choice. Simply logon to your "My Library Record", click the link Add/Update your E-mail Address to update your email address.
