This workshop provides advanced library research skills for postgraduate students in humanities and social sciences. Using the Library Catalogue and electronic databases, it will demonstrate how to (1) identity a potential topic for research; (2) evaluate the relatedness of collected information; and (3) reference these bibliographies in your paper/thesis.

Program 3: Internet and Academic Research
Demonstrates the effective ways to search for useful information from the Internet for academic research.

Program 4: Creating Bibliography and Citations Using RefWorks
Demonstrates how to use RefWorks, a web-based bibliography management tool, to produce bibliographies and in-text references in a variety of citation styles (e.g. MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.).
