The International Seminar on Bibliographic Services, organized by the JULAC Bibliographic Services Committee and hosted by the University Library System, was held at the Cho Yiu Conference Hall, The Chinese University of Hong Kong on August 28, 2006. This Seminar was held with great success, hosting over 100 participants including cataloguing professionals, acquisitions librarians, reference librarians, subject specialists, IT professionals, etc. from both local and overseas.
Local experts were joined by colleagues from Australia, Mainland China and the United States to present their latest projects and to share their insights into the latest cataloguing standards, subject and name access, etc. with the participants. During the Q&A sessions, both speakers and participants were eager to exchange ideas and experiences.
