College students organised the second CWC Festival, The Unexp10red, held between 31 October and 6 November 2017, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the College, which was created through an amendment of the CUHK Ordinance in 2007.

The Organising Committee (OC) consisted of 24 enthusiastic students, including members of the Third Executive Committee of the Residents' Association and some Year 3 students.

An opening ceremony was held on 31 October. Sports games were held on the next day. A room escape game, in which students tried to escape from a locked room using the clues given, was played in two rounds on 1 and 2 November. On 3 November, an open bazaar was set up in the College Piazza, with booths managed by students and invited outside parties; students enjoyed singing performances and participated in a lucky draw. The celebration closed on the last day with a thrilling war game.
