Language Enhancement Programme

Toastmasters Taster Sessions
College students improved their public speaking and presentation skills in three Toastmasters Taster Sessions conducted in Term 1, 2015–16. They gave prepared speeches, impromptu talks and speech evaluation, developed English speaking skills, built confidence, and made friends.

Social English Workshop
College students built self-confidence in using English on different social occasions in three sessions of Social English Workshop. These interesting and inspiring sessions were facilitated by Mr Brian MacLean, a native English speaker who has spent many years in Hong Kong as a teacher, and as a trainer at some of the biggest companies in Hong Kong. He encouraged students to communicate interactively and introduced the relevant ʻglobalizedʼ etiquette in these sessions:

Movie Night Series
The College Student Union screened two movies in Term 1, 2015–16. Participants enjoyed watching Hollywood blockbuster and improved language skills
