Our hearty congratulations to the following College members for various appointments and achievements.

Awards

Prof Amos Tai has been conferred the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Research Award for Young Scientists for 2015 and selected for the Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award 2014.

Appointments

Prof Kenneth Young, College Master, has been re-appointed to the following posts:

(1) Member of the Quality Assurance Council (QAC) of the University Grants Committee (UGC) for the period from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016;

(2) Chairman of the Curriculum Development Council with effect from 1 September 2015 for two years, and in that capacity as ex-officio member of the Education Commission for the same period; and

(3) Vice-Chairman of the Board of Adjudicators of the Shaw Prize for the period from 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2016.

Ms Ellen Lee, Project Coordinator, has reported for duty on 5 August 2015.

Miss Gigi So, Project Coordinator, has reported for duty on 9 December 2015.

Resignation and Leave

Mr Hugo Luk, Office Assistant, has left the College upon completion of contract on 7 July 2015.

Ms Linda Wu, Project Coordinator, has resigned with effect from 27 July 2015.

Prof Julie Yu, Associate Professor of Marketing, has retired from the University with effect from 31 July 2015.

Mr Philip Freestone, Assistant Lecturer, English Language Teaching Unit, has resigned from the University with effect from 15 August 2015.

Ms Daisy Wong, Project Coordinator, has left the College upon completion of contract on 26 August 2015.

Ms Cherrie Lai, Assistant Lecturer, Physical Education Unit, has left the University upon completion of contract on 31 August 2015.

Miss Jade Cai, Project Assistant, has resigned with effect from 9 December 2015.
