Orientation Day for New Students 2015
The Chinese University of Hong Kong organized the New Student Orientation Day on 11 August 2015. Newly admitted students paid their first visit to the CUHK campus in the capacity of CUHK students. Prof Kenneth Young, College Master, and Prof Thomas Au, Chair of the Admissions, Scholarships & Financial Aid Committee, welcomed students at an all-day consultation area, and hosted two talks to introduce the College's features in detail, including its vision, full residence policy, the concept of the Honour Code, the College premises and facilities, as well as a range of learning opportunities available to students. Ms CHOI Azura Yuk Chin, a year 4 student, one of the student ambassadors, shared her joyful encounters at the College and gave sincere advice to the new students.
A promotion counter was set up, where pamphlets and souvenir were distributed, and where College teachers and student ambassadors met students. An open house session was held at the new campus in the late afternoon. During the session, a significant number of students joined a College tour, and learned about the College in detail, through cordial exchanges with the student ambassadors in a cozy setting. Orientation Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2015 The Orientation Day for Undergraduate Admissions 2015 was held on 24 October 2015. The College hosted a booth and organized two introductory sessions, at which the College vision and activities were introduced. Student ambassadors spoke at the introductory sessions, and many helped at the booth on the University Mall to introduce College life to prospective students. Many secondary school students and some parents joined the open house sessions at the College campus. They were impressed by the beautiful campus and they also learned about College features and students' hostel life through guided tours led by students. CUHK Alumni Homecoming 2015 The CUHK Alumni Homecoming 2015 held on 28 November 2015 attracted many alumni with their families and friends. With the assistance of the College Student Union, a carnival game booth was set up at the University Mall to provide information about the College, children were presented with candy and snacks. The booth had succeeded in attracting quite a number of visitors.
