CWC Breakation Delight Programme
|
The Breakation Delight Programme is a new initiative launched in February 2021 to encourage College students to venture out in the Lunar New Year holiday to explore, attempt or accomplish something that goes beyond their routines.
All students were invited to share with the College any experience during the ‘breakation’ that might have given them some pleasant surprises or inspired them to pursue something adventurous or profound. Their submissions could be in any appropriate forms, such as a piece of writing, an artwork with descriptions and an innovative product that addresses issues and interesting developments in science and technology. Awards would include cash prizes, as well as supermarket or book coupons.By the closing date for submission, a total of five submissions were received. After careful review and deliberation, the panel of judges (comprising Prof Wai-Yee CHAN, College Master, Prof Thomas AU, Associate Master and Dean of Students, Prof WONG Suk Ying, Warden of the College Hostel and Prof Kenneth YOUNG, College Fellow) decided that all the five students would each be given an honourable mention, with each student receiving a monetary award of HK$300 and a supermarket/ book coupon of HK$100 as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their participation in the Programme.List of Honourable Mentions
