By-election for the Vacancy of Chairperson of the Sixth Representative Council
The Chairperson of the Sixth Representative Council of the Student Union of CW Chu College (CWCSURC) terminated her membership of the Student Union in September 2020, so the position became vacant and only four members remained in the CWCSURC. Therefore, an Election Committee was appointed to handle the by-election of the vacancy of the Chairperson. As no one was nominated for the by-election, the CWCSURC elected one person from among its members to fill the vacancy, in accordance with The Constitution of the Student Union of CW Chu College. The positions elected among all the members were as follows:

Appointment of a New Election Committee The Sixth CWCSURC appointed a new Election Committee for the election of the Seventh Student Union of CW Chu College and Non ex-officio Representative of the 51st Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK. The Committee comprises three members, who are all Year 3 College students: Mr CHEUNG King Shun (Nursing), Ms LEUNG Hei Tung (Biology) and Ms NG Cheuk Chi (Government and Public Administration). Election of the Seventh Student Union of CW Chu College and Non Ex-officio Representative, 51st Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK During the nomination period from 26 February to 6 March 2021, the Election Committee received eight nominations for the election of the Seventh Representative Council, Student Union of CW Chu College, and two for the election of Non ex-officio Representative of the 51st Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK. After the first round of online voting from 12 to 18 March 2021, the following candidates were both elected as Non ex-officio Representative of the 51st Representative Council, The Student Union of CUHK: Mr WONG Chung Wa (Year 2, Medicine) and Mr WONG Ho Cheong (Year 4, Government and Public Administration). For the election of the Seventh Representative Council, Student Union of CW Chu College, the number of candidates elected in the first round of voting did not reach the minimum required (a total of five Ex-officio and Elected Officers), so a second ballot was held from 23 to 29 March 2021. After two rounds of voting, the elected members of the Seventh Representative Council are as follows:
Their term of office is from 30 March 2021 to 31 January 2022. |
