Dr WU Weiping, Director, Yale–China Chinese Language Centre, has retired from the University with effect from 1 August 2020.

Prof Jan KIELY, Professor, Centre for China Studies, has been appointed as Director of the Centre with effect from 1 August 2020 to 31 July 2023.

Prof Evelyn CHAN, Associate Professor, Department of English, was on sabbatical leave from 1 September 2020 to 30 April 2021.

Prof Jason CHAN, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with effect from 1 September 2020.

Prof Jette HANSEN EDWARDS, Professor, Department of English, is on sabbatical leave from 1 September 2020 to 31 July 2021.

Ms Penelope PANG, Finance Manager, Finance Office, has retired from the University with effect from 21 October 2020.

Prof Tjonnie LI, Department of Physics, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with effect from 6 November 2020.

Prof Vincent CHEUNG, School of Biomedical Sciences, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with effect from 4 March 2021.

Prof Herbert LOONG, Department of Clinical Oncology, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with effect from 4 March 2021.
