The 88th Congregation (Conferment of Bachelor's Degrees) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong cum Graduation Ceremony of CW Chu College 2019–20
Due to the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University's congregation for the conferment of Bachelor's and Master's Degrees to graduates in 2020 was decentralised and hosted by Colleges and Faculties to avoid a large crowd gathering on the main campus. Bachelor's Degrees were conferred in nine College ceremonies on 19 November 2020, while Master's Degrees were conferred in Faculty ceremonies on 20 or 21 November. In response to the worsening pandemic situation from early November, the University had to decide, regretfully, on 13 November that the graduation ceremonies would be held via live broadcast for the graduates and their guests.

The Cultus et Beneficentia Award was established in 2016 by the College, to be granted to the best student(s) of each graduating class and in Years 4 to 6. It aims to recognise students who have demonstrated the spirit of the College in the best way during their normative study periods. It is the highest honour for students of the College.

Virtual Honour Code Pledging Ceremony
All Year 1 students of the College have to pledge to abide by the College Honour Code in the Honour Code Pledging Ceremony, usually held in Term 1 of each academic year. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ceremony for the 2020 cohort was postponed to Term 2, 2020–21, in the hope that it could be arranged physically if the pandemic subsided. In view of the new wave of the coronavirus outbreak in Hong Kong in November 2020, it was finally decided that the Ceremony would be held online on 29 January 2021.
