The 18th Session titled My Rethink about the Current Situation from a Perspective of Political Philosophy was presided by Prof. Joseph Chan from the Department of Politics and Public Administration of The University of Hong Kong. He examined the recent political situation, analysed the legitimacy of the government, and delineated how one should respond to the social unrest.
The 19th Session had Dr. Derrick Au, Director of CUHK Centre for Bioethics, to speak on Confronting a Mental Health Epidemic. He, on one hand, outlined the emotional disturbance encountered by the Hong Kong people in the recent social unrest, and on the other hand, pointed out the challenges of handling a mental health epidemic. With the demonstration of a basket of similar cases happened in Hong Kong and overseas in previous decades, he articulated how Hong Kong can mend societal rift.
