The 40-year Reunion of class 1976 was hosted on 19 November 2016 at Yun Chi Hsien, and over 60 alumni and their families came back to the College and joined us at this joyous event. Ms. Tse Kam (1976/Chinese Language and Literature) and Mr. Yeung Kai Chiu (1976/Business Administration) were the MCs for the day, and have invited a number of fellow classmates to share on the joyful times in the old days. Former Head of New Asia College and former Vice-Chancellor of CUHK Prof. Ambrose King, who once taught the class of '76, also attended this memorable gathering. Participants took the opportunity to revisit the campus, including going to the New Asia History Gallery, and finding their names engraved on the graduate plaques at New Asia Concourse.
A banquet was held at Yun Chi Hsien that night. Prof. Henry Wong, Head of the College, delivered his welcoming remarks. Mr. Wong Ho Chiu and Ms. Poon Shuk Yee, President and Vice President of the New Asia College Alumni Association, were invited to give an introduction to the activities organized by the association. The 1976 Alumni Scholarship was established a decade ago at the 30-year Reunion of Class 1976, and since then has been awarding students with outstanding academic performance. Some 1976 alumni donated to the scholarship during the event. We would like to express our sincerest thanks for their generosity.
