The topic of this talk was "Appreciating Dunhuang- an Aesthetic Journey in 6th Century". It was moderated by Mr. Wong Ho Chiu, the New Asia College Trustee and the Chairman of New Asia College Alumni Association. The lecture was very well received by the public from every walk of life, not to mention the college trustees and alumni who took time out from their tight schedules to attend the event.
Prof. Ho was the Dean of Students of the College. He is now the museum expert adviser of Hong Kong Heritage Museum and Hong Kong Museum of History, in which role he initiates and supports program that encourage the general public to understand and appreciate architecture. Prof. Ho shared many pictures to enable the audience to gain a deeper understanding of Dunhuang. Hearing the stories he shared was like stepping into another time. This received an enthusiastic response and inspired fruitful discussion between the speaker and the audience.
