Online Promotion for College Admission of 2020 Cohort

The New Student Orientation Day for JUPAS Students, originally scheduled for early August 2020, was cancelled by the University due to the pandemic. As an alternative, an online orientation platform was launched on 11–13 August 2020 to provide new students with essential information about entry to the University and application for College affiliation.

Major promotion of the College to the new cohort also went online, through different social media platforms. For example, four new videos on the four ‘I’s (Intimate, International, Intellectual and Involved) and one video about the College Rowing Teams were released on the College YouTube channel. Representatives of the Executive Committee of the Residents' Association managed an Instagram account for the College to share essential College information with new students and answer their enquiries.

CUHK Virtual Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions

The traditional CUHK Orientation Day for Undergraduate Admissions was launched as a Virtual Information Day, in the format of a virtual fair, on 10 October 2020, for pre-university students to learn about the University, while avoiding large crowds during the pandemic.

Participation in Production of CUHK Alumni Homecoming Theme Song

The CU Heart and CU Mind is the theme song produced for CUHK Alumni Homecoming by the Alumni Affairs Office, with the assistance of many alumni associations and alumni. It reminds alumni of their good old times and company at CUHK, and encourages them to give back to society.

2020 CUHK Alumni Homecoming

Like other large-scale events of the University, the CUHK Alumni Homecoming took a new form by going virtual on 28 November 2020. To help University alumni learn more about different Colleges, on the event website there was a College section, in which visitors could access the link to CWC YouTube channel.
