Under the scheme this year, almost 50 summer internship opportunities were sourced from 15 companies/ organisations across various fields, such as accounting, administration, engineering, hotel services, marketing, press, programming, research and development and social services. They were open for application in early March 2019.

A Special Session on Academic and Career Planning

A special workshop was conducted on 18 February 2019 by Prof WONG Suk Ying, Warden of the College Hostel, for students who found themselves at the crossroads between pursuing further studies and entering the workplace after graduation.

Through her sharing, Prof WONG guided the students to identify their directions, for example, by considering their personality types, interests, skills, finance and family, and introduced to them the different preparations for further studies and job hunting. She also shared tips for scholarship application and academic/ job interviews. To make the workshop more interactive, Prof WONG had informal exchange of conversation and thoughts with students after her sharing.

A private counselling session was conducted by Prof WONG for each participating student after the workshop, so as to cater to the students' personal needs.
