Vice-Minister of Health Visits CUHK

Mr. Liu Qian, Vice-Minister of Health led a 6-member delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 29 November 2011 with the aim of getting to know the latest research development of the University in medicine.

The delegation met with Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director, and Prof. Lin Ge of School of Biomedical Sciences, and Prof. Benny Zee, Director of the Centre for Clinical Trials, School of Public Health and Primary Care, and received an overview of the University and the development of Faculty of Medicine.

 

The delegates next visited the research facilities and laboratories in the State Key Laboratory on Synthetic Chemistrythe School of Biomedical Sciences and the Centre for Clinical Trials of the School of Public Health and Primary Care, where they obtained more updates on the recent research projects of the units.

 

The delegation was impressed by CUHK's rapid and outstanding development in medicine and science and technology. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and to build up links.
