The Representative Council and the Executive Council, Student Union of CW Chu College

The Representative Council (RC) is the highest body for the daily supervision of the Student Union of CWC, and acts as the representative for members of the Union; it shall be responsible for supervising the Executive Council and Affiliated Societies, as well as other affairs as prescribed by The Constitution of the Student Union of CW Chu College (The Constitution). The Executive Council (EC) is the highest institution of the Union in its daily executive operation. According to The Constitution, where no EC is elected or confirmed for whatever reasons, the RC shall act as the EC until the end of the term of office.

By-election of the Sixth Representative Council

An Election Committee comprising three College student members was appointed in the General Assembly on 12 September 2019 for the by-election of the Sixth Representative Council, Student Union of CW Chu College (CWCSURC). After the nomination period in October 2019, the Election Committee received the valid nomination of eight candidates. The voting period for the by-election ended on 9 January 2020. The Sixth Representative Council

In accordance with The Constitution, the term of office of the CWCSURC starts from the first day of February of each year (or the day of official election announcement, whichever is later), to the last day of January in the following year. Therefore, the term of office of the Sixth CWCSURC formally ended on 31 January 2020.

Election Committee for the Election of the Seventh Student Union

The Sixth CWCSURC appointed an Election Committee for the election of the Seventh Student Union. The Committee comprises three members who are Year 2 College students: Ms LEE Tsz Ching (Hospitality and Real Estate), Mr LI Cheuk Kwan (Biomedical Sciences) and Ms LI Ching Man (Chinese Language and Literature).

The Committee started the election procedures for the Seventh Student Union in early April 2020, inviting interested College students to register as candidates for the election.
