Summer Service Project (Organised by the Seventh Service Team, ServiChu)

Thanks to the generous support from The D. H. Chen Foundation, the College Service Team has launched its service projects smoothly throughout the years and they have positively influenced the lives of both university and secondary school participants of the projects.

The highlight of the seventh summer service project was a three-day-two-night camp, held at the College from 13 to 15 July 2019 for the secondary school participants of Po Leung Kuk CW Chu College and HHCKLA Buddhist Ching Kok Secondary School. Activities and games were organised for the secondary school students by the Seventh Service Team and College student helpers.

After the camp, the Service Team and the other participants had a happy reunion at the Closing Ceremony of the summer service project on 28 September 2019 at the College.

Through the project, the secondary school students gained greater self-confidence and better communication skills. Friendship was also nurtured among them and the College students.

Lunar New Year Gifts to CWC Janitors

To send Lunar New Year greetings and express their gratitude, the Eighth Service Team presented gifts to the College janitors on 22 January 2020. Each of them received a pack of hand cream, instant coffee, lozenges and snacks. The Service Team was grateful to the College Fellows and Teachers who sponsored this heart-warming initiative.
