Event: Remembering Our Teacher: A Conversation among Students of Ting Yin-yung, Art Museum
On 14 July 2018, 2 pm to 4:30 pm, ten former students of Ting Yin-yung gathered under the image of the late master and shared their fond memories about the beloved teacher with the audience.
Either graduates from the Department of Fine Arts, CUHK, or private students tutored by Ting, they bore witness to Ting's art and life from different angles and at different periods of time. While the stories got sad at times, their recounting was always full of affection and served as invaluable oral history that sheds light on the teaching style and special charisma of Ting as a unique art educator.
