Event Highlight: ICS Jao Tsung-I Visiting Professor Public Lecture
Before the pandemic, ICS organised “Jao Tsung-I Visiting Professor Public Lecture” and invited renowned scholars in Chinese Studies to foster cultural hybridity and academic exchange between scholars. This year, we are delighted to announce the resumption of the Jao Tsung-I Visiting Professorship Scheme and the Jao Tsung-I Visiting Professor Public Lecture. ICS is honoured to invite Prof. Edward Shaughnessy to visit ICS from September to October 2023. During his visit, he will deliver two public lectures related to Shi Jing.
Public Lecture 1: “Translating the Shi Jing《詩經》Classic of Poetry: The Case of ‘Guan Ju’《關雎》”
