More than 450 scholars and researchers from various countries attended the conference. The three keynote speakers were Prof. Song Xi Chen from Peking University, Prof. Qi-Man Shao from the Southern University of Science and Technology and Prof. Ji Zhu from the University of Michigan.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was officiated by Prof. Alan Chan, Provost of CUHK, Prof. Gang Li, President of the ICSA, Prof. Jianguo Sun, Chair of the Executive and Scientific Program Committees and Prof. Xinyuan Song, Chair of the Local Organising Committee.

Invited Sessions

In addition to the keynote lectures, there were over 100 scientific sessions, covering a wide range of topics relating to methodological and applied contributions of statistics, data science, mathematics and computer sciences. The conference provided a platform for statisticians working in academia, government and industry to exchange knowledge, expertise and experiences in the field of statistics.

 

Conference Banquet

The conference banquet was held at ClubONE Riviera on 8 July 2023. A lion dance and a face changing performance were organised by The Hong Kong Tourism Board to entertain the attendees, and the banquet was festive.

The objectives of the ICSA are to promote the theory and application of statistical disciplines through scholarly activities, to broaden applications of statistical techniques in all areas of society and to foster cooperative efforts among educational, research, industrial and governmental personnel in statistical activities.
