The year of 2023 was memorable as it marked the 60^th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Faculty of Science. In celebration of this significant milestone, the department held a range of activities including The 12th ICSA International Conference and Distinguished Lecture Series. I am delighted to introduce to you our new faculty member, Dr. Li Gen, whose research interests include reinforcement learning, generative AI, high-dimensional statistics, machine learning and deep learning. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Li.
