Dr. Li Gen joined the department as Assistant Professor on 2 August 2023. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and Mathematics and Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University. Before joining the department, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Statistics and Data Science at The University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include reinforcement learning, generative artificial intelligence, high-dimensional statistics, machine learning and deep learning.

Miss Olina Kwok joined the department as Project Coordinator in October 2023.

Promotion

Dr. John Wright was promoted to Senior Lecturer, with effect from 1 August 2023.
