A well-established China expert from France, Professor Alain Roux gave a talk "Part Tiger, Part Monkey: Mao Zedong and China's Destiny" as his new book, The Monkey and the Tiger: Mao, a Chinese Fate, was translated into Chinese and published by The Chinese University Press. Professor Roux shared his perspectives on Mao Zedong and 20th-century Chinese history during the talk, which was co-organised by Research Centre for Contemporary Chinese Culture, the Chinese University Press, and the Universities Service Centre for China Studies.
