First Prize in the Cloud Track of the Huawei ICT Competition – Zhang Wenyu (PhD in STAT) and Teammates

After winning the Huawei ICT Competition 2022–2023 Hong Kong, Zhang Wenyu (PhD in STAT) and teammates won first prize in the Cloud Track of the Asia Pacific Huawei ICT Competition. The team will represent the Asia–Pacific region in the global competition.

2022–23 Science Faculty Postgraduate Research Day

The faculty’s annual postgraduate research day was held on Wednesday 8 February 2023 in face-to-face mode. The research provided a platform for postgraduate students to gain exposure at the seminar, to present their innovative research results and to share research ideas and experiences.

Best Teaching Assistant Award

He Yuyang (PhD in STAT) and Ma Ting Tin (MPhil in RMSC) were awarded the Best Teaching Assistant Award 2022–23 in recognition of their outstanding teaching.

Research Achievement Award for Graduate Students in Statistics

Zou Yudan (PhD in STAT) received the Research Achievement Award for Graduate Students in Statistics 2022–23 in recognition of her research achievements, including but not limited to research publications, research presentations, conference posters and performance in research competitions.

Research Exploration Award for Graduate Students in Statistics

Wang Chuchu (PhD in STAT) received the Research Exploration Award for Graduate Students in Statistics 2022–23 in recognition of her efforts to expand her research scope and deepen her research depth through various research activities, including but not limited to attending academic conferences, delivering research talks, participating in academic competitions or challenges and asking good questions during seminars.
