Our School members including Prof. Chan Wai-yee, SBS Director, Prof. Wan Chao and Prof. Albert H.H. Cheung attended the 7th Guangzhou International Conference on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and the 3rd Annual Conference on Chinese Society for Regenerative Cell Biology on 18-19 December 2014. The Conference was organized by Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health (GIBH) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), with support from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the governments of Guangdong and Guangzhou, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). More than 30 scientists and scholars from CAS, U.S.A., Europe, Canada and Australia served as speakers of the event. Please refer to the official website of the Conference for more details. GIBH has been in a close partnership with our School. Apart from previous academic exchange (in December 2011 and December 2012), our School has entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GIBH since November 2011 and established the CUHK-GIBH CAS Joint Research Laboratory on Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine in August 2012. Participation in this annual academic event enhances the mutual understanding between the investigators from both parties, hence facilitating closer and more in-depth academic collaborations. |
