In addition to the reunion dinner, the main activity was the sharing sessions held at the New Asia Alumni Association clubhouse on four weekends in February. Alumni mentors wereinvited to share with their mentees their valuable experience, including the goal of life, job experience, work attitude, civil-service entry requirements and also their perspective on current social issues. On each weekend, four groups of mentees attended a presentation by the alumni on their life experiences, providing a valuable learning experience for the mentees outside the classroom.
The reunion dinner on May 19 not only enhances the friendship among the participants, but also provides an opportunities to discuss how to improve the programme in future. During the dinner, some mentors planned group activities to be held with the mentees in future, including organizing visits to different institutions and career talks. Mentorship programme in the past year was a high success. Both the mentors and mentees have learned a lot and hope that our alumni and students will participate actively in next year's mentorship programme.
Mentorship programme 2012-13 will commence very soon. The College will recruit mentors in early September. Details of application would be sent to alumni by email.
