The Association for Introducing Foreign Intelligence, a sub-association of the Chinese Association of Higher Education, convened its first general meeting for the fourth Standing Committee in Shaoguan University on July 28 – 31. Around 100 representatives, including government officials from Provincial Education Department, senior members and academic exchange heads from over 60 institutions in mainland China and Hong Kong, joined the meeting. As one of the committee members of the Association, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) also sent representative to participate in the meeting.
Discussions were held at the meeting on topics related to internationalization strategy, academic programmes and talent recruitment policy in universities. The meeting also provided opportunities for senior members and academic exchange heads to exchange views and experience regarding talent management and joint education programmes in higher education sector.
The Association for Introducing Foreign Intelligence is formed by a group of tertiary institutions dedicating efforts to promote internationalization and academic exchange for higher education in China. Its main activities range from organizing exchange seminars and training classes, promoting information flow and resource sharing. CUHK is a member of the Standing Committee of the Association. The meeting enabled participating institutions to share updates on latest development with one another, devising future plans to establish stronger links.
