The Center for Housing Innovations of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), in collaboration with China Green Building (Hong Kong) Council, organized the "Professional Education and Certification Course—China Assessment Standard (GB/T50378-2014) for Green Building Professional Training and Case Sharing 2016" during July 8 – 9 at CUHK. It is the first time this training activity was conducted in Hong Kong.
Specialists of the National Specialist Board for Assessment Standard for Green Building from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, etc. were invited to elaborate the regulations, technique guidelines and practices concerned with the GB/T50378-2014. The course attracted about 30 professionals and specialists of local architecture, planning, environment design, real estate development fields to participate. The event was also supported by the Centre of Science and Technology of Construction under the State Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Participants discussed the technological applications and relevant case studies in green architecture, and shared their experience in applying the China Assessment Standard for Green Building in Hong Kong. Participating specialists were also introduced to various lectures, during which they could exchange views on the design, construction, management and operation of green architecture in mainland China and Hong Kong.
