Event: Public Lecture Series by Research Centre for Contemporary Chinese Culture

The year 2017 marks the centenary of the October Revolution. In addition to a special feature in the journal, 21st Century Bimonthly also joined hands with I CARE to host two lectures on the topic. The renowned scholars, Professors Qin Hui and Jin Yan, came to CUHK to speak on the historical place of the revolution and how it led to the birth of a socialist state. Over 200 attendants were attracted to  each lecture.

On 12 December 2017, Professor Xu Guoqi delivered a talk on "International Sport and What Is China", whichexplored issues surrounding "what is China" and "what is Chinese", questions that have been raised by many Chinese over the years.
