The Joint Symposium on "Biomedical Research across the Continents – Insight and Innovation" was successfully held in 7 and 8 March 2013 at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).

| Joint Scientific Meeting of Sydney Medical School and CUHK Faculty of Medicine 2013 | |
A delegation of 7 members, led by Prof. Bruce Robinson, Dean of Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney, visited the Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and attended a joint scientific meeting on 26 April 2013. Apart from meeting with the key investigators of the Faculty, several investigators from the School of Biomedical Sciences also took part in the meeting.

Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education) were invited to serve as the Organizing Committee members and Session Chair for the Croucher Foundation Advanced Study Institute (ASI) on Stem Cells: Niches, Regeneration and Repair held at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong between 4 and 8 March 2013.

Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee, Chief of the ProgrStem Cell and Regeneration am and the Managing Director of the Core Laboratories of our School, has recently been appointed by the Food and Health Bureau, HKSAR Government, as a co-opted member of the Working Group on Regulation of Premises Processing Health Products for Advanced Therapies (Working Group) under the Steering Committee on Review of Regulation of Private Healthcare Facilities.
